Tried that, you just get chronic neck ache by the end of the day LOL

couldn't reverse as there was a really steep incline on way up the track would of lost the load.

i would of put one log in at a time and horsed the life out of the hired dumper, looks like you could of kicked up a some dust:001_cool:

Heres my dumper, super reliable.

The dumper had earth in it before i used it was a nightmare driving it on the road, lucky had my stein safety glasses or would of been blind lol. After using it, I thought of getting one and replacing the bucket with something more managable for cordwood, we'll see though. I also founf the chainsaw sat nicely in he footwell.

We have used the 403 for extracting bundles of logs upto 2m lengths but it really comes into its own shifting stuff through restricted access. Good for shifting brash too.

Now that would be a handy piece of kit, whats one of them going to set me back?

Approx £20k new but deals can be struck (still far too much!). The quick hitch front end allows a swap for forks or a bucket in seconds so it is a great little machine for around the yard but really earns its keep on the jobs where a proper machine can't get in and manpower is unavailable/unwilling. On those days it is invaluable.
