bearcat pto chipper

Ive just bought a bearcat 5inch gravity fed pto chipper/shredder, it chips well but wont fire the bits out the chute. I think that the paddles that throw the chip outhave worn down, so that chips are building up around them and clogging the outlet. I saw a video of an american bloke that had extended the paddles on his chipper(the same as mine) with stiff rubber, I was going to do this on mine and see if it makes a diffrence. Has anyone ever tried anything like this or does anyone have any other ideas what could be the problem? Also where is a good place near hertford to get the blades sharpened, and what sort of money should I expect to pay? Thanks, william.:thumbup1:
