Echo or Dolmar?

father in law had dolmar in the day and it was the saw to have german built rugged. then along came sthil husqvarna and they fell out of favour as the other two easy to get the dolmar i would say would give those two a run for there money and be a better saw shame there are not more arb dealers selling them. only one i have been told of is in west sussex. which is a trip to see one hence sthil and husky win as so many selling them.

Yeah, it is a problem having no dealers. The only reason i'm considering one is because i'm off to Germany. But I keep hearing good things about them. But I hear lots of good things about Echo, so I think I will wait for my saw and buy a Dolmar in a few years.

Must drag mine out of the shed and give it a run.

brings back good memories i bought one new in 1993 had to scrape money together beg borrow and sell:thumbup: it cut everything from 1st thinnings to windblown it had to do everything only other choice was borrow my fathers solo rex or use bosses husky 3120 42'' bar toooo heavy

 

it didnt let me down once, only av rubbers kept plenty spare:thumbup::thumbup:
