You need to speak to Gregor McArthur at McArthur Forest Services. I had all Sunday morning with him and he's truly a guy who knows his Mulching stuff and passionate about it!:thumbup1:

His attention to detail is fantastic and probably guilty of not advertising enough just what a range of conversions he gets involved in.

I had the exact same conversation regarding the powerpack route and if you're pockets are deep enough, a very surprising solution is possible from him.

Eddie.

We 'phoned him 2 weeks ago. Said he'd send a quote. A week later I 'phoned to see how the quote was doing or where it was; really didn't get anywhere. Not got time to sit idly by tbh. Want to hear from others if there any anyway...

We know he's got the rights to the DC EWF stuff which is awesome and he's waiting on parts and build price but how long should be waiting? I don't think within a week is unreasonable??? Correct me if I'm wrong...

The EWF100 direct from DC was £60,000! not an option at that price; pm on its way!

hi what you looking for?

road towable? if so what speed towing.

or static

you say150l/m at what pressure?

load sensed pump?

when you looking @ delivery for?

I can look into specs of what is possible, we built some before for the docks as back up if electricity fails so they can still use lock gates

Don't want to try and teach you suck eggs and all that but do really need a power pack. I had a 26 tonne hitachi that was too much for the mulcher on it and had to turn the flow down. Doosan 140 machines can easily run a good sized mulcher without the need of a power pack to burn more fuel and heat oil. I know a guy in the Highlands who runs mulchers on JCB 130 machines - admittedly with some tinkering to the pumps but without the extra weight / running costs. I'd be tempted to look at the Doosan machine, they have very good hydraulic output and the engines are powerful for their size. The 6 cylinder engine in the 140 can be tweaked to 200hp if required.

It's to go on an 8 tonne machine hence the need. Yet to find an 8 tonner than puts out more than 100L/min at 210 bar; maybe one (the terex) does it at 270 bar but the head requires 120-200L/min at 210 bar. Kinda like this:
