I just use the normal grease supplied, never had any problems

Means I have to take clutches off on outboards, fluid grease is much easier!

Ahh yes, though I have the grease hole on my 576xp

And just to wrap this one up in case anyone comes searching these Fora on the same question, I just had an answer back from Husqvarna tech support (credit to them for doing that):

 

"Greasing the 576 XP Auto Tune needle bearing is ok to do"

To be honest I have not greased one for years ( at least ten ! ) Never had one fail .........

 

That bearing doesn't need a lot of greasing, as the work load on it isn't high.

 

I still give it a little grease now and then - usually with a grease gun.
