That does look good! All thoughts of grinding out the hours to one day buy a woodland and you could rent one instead. Nice idea...still couldn't build your home in it though.

you beat me to it, i was going to start a thread to tell you guys about the Scottish Woodlot Association and what we're up to.

yes we've got the first woodlot up and running and I'm honored to have have this licence.

we're pretty busy taking things forward now.

I think this is absolutley top knotch!! I left Dumfries and Galloway nearly 5 years ago because there was very little oportunity to do something for myself in this industry. I have since relocated to North Lancashire and have gone down the Arb path rather than stick with forestry/woodland management. I think a scheme like this in some areas of the North West would be amazing as there there are soooooo many unmanaged woodlands around Lancashire and Cumbria, alot of them broadleaf too. I could just do with about 200Ha to manage
