Cutting next to powerlines

I wouldn't charge more to cut next to lines if powers off, I would charge on what the job is regardless of wires as if there of there ain't an issue.

 

Exactly. Why charge more for a non-hazard? Next thing you'll have your guys demanding more money for domestic driveways in case they get run over! :laugh1:

The threads kind of gone the wrong way, it wasn't how to cut next to a power line but if you would charge more as it's more dangerous but as you guys don't cut near them it's kind of answered that! A short thread!

But if you do it by the book its not "more dangerous", the power should be off.

 

We do cut near them but we do it with the power off, as others have said there can be a bit of a faff getting a shutdown and you might have to work to an appointed time so a little more expense for that perhaps.
