If your not too good with mechanics buy new their are some great deals and finance packages about and timberwolf hardly depreciate in value, I have had a few, the last one was tracked, got it as ex demo, in 2 years work the same dealer took it back for £500 less than I paid them for it 2 years earlier, and it was a similar story with the machine before. And at the end of the day it comes off your tax bill, so don't mess about, buy new and look after your kit. :thumbup1:

I enquired a while back about changing my tw150 until the PRAT at orange plant insulted me on trade in price for my chipper. Must have thought i came down on yesterdays rain shower....

They can shove business as far as im concerned now :001_smile:

I bought a tw150 from my local dealer they told me they knew it from new and they had re conditioned it all blah blah etc etc.

I pretty much replaced it all inc engine, wish I had stayed away from it. Buy the best you can that's my advise if this is the best you can find then go for it, but every month put some money aside for repairs etc as it will need it. Least then it won t be such a shock.

I would say if its had a new engine at those hours its probably been abused and never serviced etc I dont like the sound of it. We ran a tw150 up to 8,000hrs and never had a problem with the engine oil changed every 100hrs and she kept going and is probably still going now as we sold it 2-3 years ago..
