Us imports

Imported lots of tools from the USA when dollar was weak. Pros and cons to it. Bought a dewalt 18v 9 pack. Pros dirt cheap, got sent in the dewalt box so obvious, but no import tax charged, Cons, takes a while to get here, warranty is invalid, one of the tools needed new motor after 2 months. Cost of shipping back to states was too much and no warranty here. So bought new motor and fixed myself.

Easy to get ripped off.

Bought a paticular plastering trowel I wanted that wasn't available here. Got stung for tax, really expensive.

Would I buy large tools like first example, yes if cheap enough. Would I buy low value. Probably not as worked out very expensive.
