hello all iam looking for a chain brake for a 133 , 143 , but i will buy a complete non running saw , engine seized, parts, not working

i have been searching for ages and i want to keep this saw going it is so nice to use the engine is perfect but not so good without chain brake so if anybody could help that would be perfect :thumbup::thumbup:

Makita bought Sachs-Dolmar. I Think they stopped making the 133 about 1987, but Makita still hold some parts. I got a spring for the chain brake just a month ago. You don't say, but I presume you need the band assembly which is part no 123 213 051. You might try Makita to see if they still stock the part. It's the same part for the 123, 133, 133 super and 143.

Best of luck, it's a cracking saw, very powerful but heavy. I managed to get a rim sprocket to fit a few years ago.

A quick Google says Jacks Small Engines (albeit in the US) sell the for $15.50, but I'd try Makita first.

hello gtools your a star thanks mate :thumbup: the 117, 119, 120 153,166 had the chain brake assembly in the sprocket gaurd but the saws in the middle had the brake assembly fitted on the engine side at least i know those four saws are the same fitment
