I used a mulching head on my fs400 to cut a way into a building plot so i can get a mini digger in to clear the rest.

The brambles were 7` tall in places, it was more up and down rather than side to side.Hard work but it ripped a 25`by 50yd way in in about two hrs.

The mulcher had reduced everything down to nothing of significance.Dont know about turfing though.I`d think it would need scraping off with a digger bucket.

got our head donated to us. it was pucka though, really sorted brambles a treat. you can mash stems of finger thickness woody vegetation to ground level too, like a mini stump grinder. I don't know of many people using them but I've seen a lot of people crying into their harnesses while using a tri-head on brambles.
