could someone advise me, when setting up a new account for a vehicle purchase, what type of account should i create in the chart of accounts? thanks

are you just looking to name your account on paper, or have you opened a new account at the bank?

name it on paper so to speak. if you are familiar with the quickbooks software you'd know what i mean

i just make the money mate, and let the accountant do the paperwork. but i name my accounts for what they are for. i have business, personal, alexander, stewart, tax, vat, properties and deposits. i keep it simple and relateable.:001_smile:

its more the category of account what im looking for as the software then decides how it treats the figures...ie long term equity, long term liability etc etc

well i suppose it comes under capital input. :001_smile:
