'Courtesy of George Stephane Fraser. This photo shows Tony Mead, Signal Platoon, 9th Parachute Battalion at Pegasus Bridge in 1951. On D-Day, he landed in a tree, and a branch penetrated his abdomen. Incredibly, he still managed to get to the RV and take part in the assault on the Merville Gun Battery.'
