hi i have a 2008 machine bought it last year and got it serviced straight away to make sure all was well but it kept cutting out lack of fuel getting through thinking because an air block. so i blew some fuel through and this cured it after a while so i have serviced it again this year and same problem yet doesn't seem to be going away i think it works better with a full tank and will go all day once warm but once a third has gone and you start it cold in the morning it cuts out when you start chipping and the engine has to do some work. was told it was the fuel cap breather causing a vacuum but bought a new one still same problem! please help!

Hi Duncan

I am making the assumption that your 2008 TW125 has a Honda GX620 engine fitted?

These engines have an integral impulse pump fitted for fuel delivery and is unlikely to be the cause of your problem,

As this problem has only been seen since the filter change I would suspect the inline fuel filter may be the problem. Is the replacement filter a genuine Honda one?

If further help is needed give Timberwolf's technical helpline a call on 014490765820.

Good Luck :thumbup1:

Hi Duncan

I have spoken to the Honda engine supplier on your behalf, they believe the cause of your problem is fuel is restriction.

The fuel filter has to be fitted in the correct flow direction, denoted by an arrow which is fitted pointing toward the engine.

Check all of the remaining fuel line to ensure there are no other restrictions within its length.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your help the filter is the correct way round but a guy on here private messaged me that he had the same problem and it was the fuel line so i have replaced that and on closer inspection where the line was cable tied to the hydraulic hoses quite tight it had started to perish and fuel was leaking through guessing that was the problem. its working like new now! thanks again
