just spent a couplee hours footlocking and seem to be getting to grips with the "clip". I seem to be getting up there OK but i'm pretty knackered when i get to the top and my technique is kind of jerky, I know this is probably another thread, but any more tips would be awesome.

Keep the rope as vertical and straight as possible at all times. So when you bring your feet up and make the lock, before standing up on it tuck your feet under your bum, and get straight before standing up. That way you wont waste energy by pushing horizontally away from you, all your effort goes into vertical lift. Hope that makes sense.

Slow down to concentrate on technique, try to make everything flow together in one smooth action, lock, thrust, push up all in one smooth continuous motion.

Cheers mate all good advice. Just done the comp and done the footlock in 40 secs, I stuffed up the in the middle section and got all tangled, at least i got to the top i guess. Can only get quicker. I find its a bit easier towards the top when the rope is a bit tighter. Practice, practice, practice.
