Local Firewood wanted for auction in Lincolnshire

Anyone interested in putting locally produced firewood into our auction at our annual Firewood Fair on the 8th of September, Revesby Estate, Lincs?

went to the show last year.

very good, but the firewood auction was a little disappointing.

cubic meter hardwood was fetching around £40/45

sorry, but its not worth me bringing an arctic load over

will still be harvesting this year so wont be able to attend unless its wet and

wood i took last year didnt make enough so wont be bringing any this year

Prices this year (2013) were good. Bags of Soft were good, Hard Very good. Some lots were very good and more demand than supply. I got a lot of after sales (web site links helped me), so I'll be submitting more in 2014.

finished harvesting so went to fair and yes prices were good.

Meet a hay customer with two of his friends who were there looking for logs told him my price. However they purchased a load between them.

was promised delivery the next week.

However i took him his hay this week only to have to help move logs out of the way.

felt damp so asked when they were delivered.

he replied was last week after a fair bit of messing about and they were ment to be seasoned but not burning very well so his mates not wanting what they originally purchased. Put my meter on them they were in mid 30s mixed wood as well .

so thats three people who wont be there next year
