2005 110 XS running BFG muds, roof rack with spots and usually a couple hundred kg of stuff in it does 22-25mpg (logged each tank over the last 20,000 miles). Mine has been tweaked for more power so drinks more than a standard one and is more economical around town than on the motorway as 75mph in 5th is full turbo so pouring the diesel in.

I did a 250 mile trip about 6 months ago at 60-65mph following the wagons and got 26.5 mpg but was bored stupid.

My Disco 3 gives 22MPG if I'm lucky!!!

Although I do tend to drive it like I've stollen it!!

It ask eats tyres!!

Huck, ours does 26-27 all time, its towing caravan, the wife runs it to work(3miles away) and I drive it like I don't care. I know you have a few more hills than us, but that's still not good for a D3 mate!

Kev, have you really logged down your fuel consumption for the last 20k? Surely you must have better things to do?

Yep, Roadtrip app on the iphone logs all expenses for the various vehicles making it easier at accounts time to know what I can claim for. It means I know what diesel went in the landy, transit, other vehicles.

Yes, mileage and litres at every fill up, takes a couple of seconds at the time and print it out at accounts time. I claim 100% of the chip truck and 75% of the landy so I need to know what diesel/service stuff/tyres went where. The app does it for me and keeps the accountant happy
