Hi Mark, I got mine from M Large in Ireland. They are the main importer, I was told not to buy from in authorised dealers as this can void the warranty. There used to be a guy at Shap called Lakes Lumber Equipment that sold the Hakki Pilkie. Stuff but I don't think he is still about. Where are you based?

Sent from Outerspace.

im just outside of cockermouth so not a million miles away from u. have you got the manual or the hydraulically operated one?

Just bought a farmi wp30 it only takes up to 12 inch but 80% of the cord we buy will go through it the other 20% get billited. Its a nice simple machine and i am really happy with it and good value for money.

I was sort of thinking of getting something what takes 14 inch stuff. that will be the wp36 wont it?

what would you recommend?

I'm not knowledgable enough to say except my experience of the palax was not a good one; it was very unproductive. I could have done more with a chainsaw and axe. Well built sure enough but the conveyor is too long imo and every log irrespective of length drops sideways after cutting - maddening. Prefer farmi and japa myself. The guy with the palax combi had the HP oh60 before and reckoned it was better!
