All looking good! My missus will start burning soon enough and it'll be fine to start again.

A hammer should work!

But does it matter for firewood?

 

Be some effort with a hammer! Good exercise though :-) . I think the general consensus is that if you're burning it quicker than the little blighted can turn it to dust, you're ok. And unless they chew through oak quicker than my chainsaw, I should be ok :-D

Thankfully it's all outside, as per the first pic, so they'll hopefully be gone or deep in the wood by the time it comes to burning. In fairness, I only bring it in and it's straight on the fire. Makes extra trips, but they're free, unlike woodworm damage 💷💷💷
