new web site , how to get to the top ?

I've chatted to my web designer quite a lot about this topic and in his opinion Google adwords will put you to the top for local searches but it is not sustainable. I once used adwords and it just wasn't worth it. As long as your website is SEO friendly, lots on the web about this, then it really is up to you to increase your profile.

Checkatrade is great, Google +, Linkedin, all of the social media marketing tools you should use. We are starting that now. If you need specialist SEO help then contact Steve at Wowfish Design, mention that Ed was chatting on a forum, he will be happy to help. I'll put a link below. Final note, Google search is a funny thing, don't be tempted to try and get 1000's of links through a 'spammy' company, so many out there. Google will delist you.
