Maybe a bit of a long shot but Does anyone have any idea how much a massey ferguson 3090 autotronic 2wd with 3500 hours on the clock would be worth? Its fairly tidy but the doors are rusted out and the wings and cab have a few biggish rust spots. Thanks, William.

Im not sure of year, it belongs to a customer who has about 20 acres of grounds and they want to outsource their field work (their current maintenance men are worth their own thread on laziness/incompetence! ) and when I looked at i t there was no number plate on it. They have asked me to get a price for the tractor, topper, harrow and roller!

Ok thanks the export thing works in my favour- the harder it is to get top price the more likely I am to be able to buy it! iv been looking all over for other ones to compare it to and havnt found 1, lots of 4wds tho.

First one I found:

1989 MASSEY FERGUSON 3080 6 CYLINDER TRACTOR 100 HP 2WD WITH AIR CON Tractors in Stanley, Chippenham | Farmers Trader

That's a tidy one too.

And then:

Massey Ferguson 3080 for sale - Used and new Massey Ferguson 3080 at Agriaffaires

Anything over 7500k is just not going to happen unless it is a very late model and absolutely immaculate with fresh tyres. Remember most of these are abroad so the market is different and there is also the exchange rate/logistics to factor in.

Personally I would go and bid him about £4000 on it, especially if the rot has set in. Possibly part with £4500 i you really really want it. Bear in mind that when these go wrong they can cost a lot to put right, hence the low value.

What year is it? Do you know which transmission it has?

thanks for taking the time to find them, spent quite a bit of time online/looking at magazine price guides last night, had decided to tell them that I would offer them £3500 for it but that they might well get more if they tried, got a phone call this morning saying that the local dealer offered them £2500 for the tractor and all the implements, and if I matched that I could have them!!:thumbup1:im well pleased! everything I need to start doing some field maintenance work, hopefully I can get my hands on it by the first weekend in july and I can put it on our stall at the village fete, with new adverts/leaflets etc.
