You could bolt an alaskan with a double ended bar and helper handle. Then you could use it solo or with a friend. My understanding is that 85cc is at the lower end of what peoole use but should still work fine.

I've only milled using 2 084s and a stihl mill or my current setup of 2 076s and the sperber.

Not really familar with those saws but what I can work out there 85cc?.

If this is the case you'd be ok with a 24" Alaskan , 30" bar and granberg chain, this is going to cost you in the region of £300 from rob d on here. Assuming you need a bar too. His sight is chainsaw bars . Com. He's in the banner ads in the right of thus site. If you register with him and pm him on here he Will give you a 10% arbtalj discount. I'm sure he Will be along for some expert advice soon enough. Don't worry about spending a little money as when you start you won't be able to stop.

If you have an adequately sized bar, just get a ripping chain as they are much better. You'll need a decent chain if you're only using the one powerhead, but if you have two identical 064s, why not getting a double ended bar. Double the power, half the time!

Your best best is asking Rob's advice on his website. You're not far so if you want to have a go with mine, happy to travel for some wood at some point! Maybe when I come to pick those rings up?
