pull of the trigger release a set dose. i expect it has the dosage rate on the product. so you know how much to use. but one dose in main stem should kill most but i know talking to those who do it that you may have to repeat it the second or third year to eradicate the stuff. has a 90% kill first year.

No, PA2 wouldn't cover it, PA6 reads on my cert, atomised sprayers and application with minimal calibration (stump painting in other words)

Cheers bud, wouldn't even know where to look for my cert to find out! Lol!

So if the packs that we use come in sealed units and every time you pull the trigger on the gun the correct amount is injected? never get to mix chemical or pour it...

Same as eco plugs? what pesticides cert do you need to use these ? as no mixing or calibrating???

But, I'd say you would still be "handling" so PA1 would be needed. As you are still "applying" you would need another module. In this case PA6. Same would apply to Eco plugs IMO, even for those who treat stumps with salt or none COSHH material. Your duty of care means you must have the tickets to "apply" in the commercial world.

Pa2 is a mounted/powered boom applicator so from quad sprayers to 24m boom sprayers. Pa6 is hand held application so stem injection/knapsacking. With specialisms for water application and other areas.

That brought a smile to my face Rob! Thankfully I have PA2, even PA2a(house point for anyone who knows of that one!) and Ben has PA6.

Guess who gets the driving jobs?

Yeh, sorry mate, that fell a bit flat as I meant to say PA2c:blushing:

I do have PA2a also. Thats hydraulic boom.

Edit, just seen your second post! I think from memory 2b was air assisted but mine (the 2c) is twin fluid nozzle.
