Well im from the uk, I guess depends what jobs I get and what trees I have to dismantle I guess, but it is something I will need so I guess time will tell haha

Shorties are pole gaffs, long ones are tree gaffs.

 

Long ones are useful for ivy covered trees and Sequoias, and not much else in my opinion.

If you want, just buy pole irons, and get a set of longer spikes for those one off jobs
