running a splitter off chipper

if i change the connectors so i can plug in a 22 ton splitter to the hydraulic pipes on my chipper, then remove the belts running the fly wheel. will the hydraulic pump on my entec 25hp have enough power and will the engine also have the power? anyone done this already?

Errr!! Hyd pressure Entec CH25PH 150 Bar absolute max. Thats when it was new. Thor 10Ton petrol splitter for example runs at 260 Bar. Hyd system on the Entec is very simple and runs at very low temps due to very little back pressure in the system. Putting a log splitter on the same circuit will just destroy the pump and the oil very quickly. Entec uses Hyd type 32 oil. Most splitters use type 46. Thicker and better at higher temps. Put 46 in the Entec and you wont get the rollers to turn if the weathers cold.

 

Don't get me wrong. It would work, just wouldn't be any good and very slow!!!!
