Feedback/advice please!

Hello,

Basically I'm after feedback and advise. A few weeks ago I started a thread asking for some help (see text below) which has had nearly 450 views but only 2 replys, one of which resulted in a goods days felling which I am very grateful to DM Trees for the invite and experience. What I would like to know is what can I do to get more? I'm keen to get as much saw time as possible. Should my original post have been more detailed? was my area for work to small? I would really like to know anything that will get me more experience. If it helps I will be booking my CS38 and CS39 this week and will hopefully be doing the level 2 arb cert in the very near future (funds dependant!) So please feel free to leave me some feed back as I will take all the help I can get.

Cheers

Chris

Hi guys,

This is my first post on the forum, I've been browsing the site for a while but never had anything worthwhile to post! Basically im after gaining some experience. I'm in the process of making a career change and I have recently completed my CS30 and CS31 training. I have a full time job, I volunteer virtually every Sunday with the National Trust and have done for the last 18 months+. I've got experience in a lot different areas (fencing, pathwork etc) but now I'm after gaining some experience working with an arborist. I'm looking for someone in the Cheshire area (I live in Northwich) who would be willing to let me come and work with them on a weekend and to help me build my job knowledge and saw experience. I'm not after payment, just someone to provide me with the saw time and instruction to help me get a job in the future. I am 30yrs old, have my own PPE and chainsaw (Husky 550xp) and I'm hard working and punctual.

If anybody feels like they can help me out and are willing to let me help you out please drop me a PM and I will forward on my contact details.

Thanks for your time

Chris.

Think the main problem is not every one works week ends . I understand your dilemma . You don't want to quit your full time job till you got some thing more secure in the woods or arb. Tricky I know .

Your always welcome to work with me chris

Or spend half a day climbing if you want

I watched Chris fell and sned a couple of sycamore

i soon realised i did not need to stand watching him he just gets on with the task safely with thought out method

his quality of work is way better than his on paper experience would suggest

Cheers Damian, very kind of you to say. We'll have to sort out another Saturday soon, I'd be glad to come and help out again.
