ARRGH!! Thieving Low Life Cretins

If they'd done that it might have been easier, the lock barrel was removed. Found it lying on the ground at the back. Don't know how they did it as there's no marks around it, no dents etc. The last time I tried to do it it took me about an hour!

I've gone and ordered myself a big security dead-bolt type thing to lock the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Theres actually very little holding them in.

Usual method (I understand ) is a slide hammer screwed into the lock barrel, one bang and it's out. I also understand that the same technique normally used for steering locks in the current spate of Defender thefts.

Got out this morning to discover the back of the Land-Rover broken into and 3 saws missing:

Stihl MS 660; Husky 560xpg; Husky 346xp.

Stolen last night from Arnprior, Stirlingshire.

If anyone local gets offered a saw from the list I'd be very pleased to hear from you.

Seems quite a specific theft, nothing else was taken so be on the lookout and keep your kit well secured.

Sorry to hear that mate, these lowlife scum seem to get ever busier against men who work for a living. Others who have said don't leave your kit a vehicle are right, that's where the feckers got my kit from.

After that big dogs and keep the shotty loaded...

I'd just like to post a quick thank you to all who have expressed their sypmathay on here.

It has been amaing to me since this happened how many people have got in touch from here, Canada and US to the Middle East. It has been really nice to have so many good wishes in a time of stress, including four separate offers of a loan of saws.

Police investigations are still on-going, I'll post any updates on here.

In the meantime keep your kit chained up behing the razor wire with a big hungry dog close by.
