Survey systems...

Hi all,

Would anyone be so kind as to offer a little advice please? I may have a job coming up to survey the condition of a couple of thousand trees. Currently I've only done small scale surveys where sketch maps or OS tiles with tree positions marked have sufficed. I could be persuaded to invest some limited funds for the right system for me, bs5837 compatibility would be a bonus but not essential (I currently sub out CAD work when needed as I'm a bit of a technophobe). What systems do you recommend, and their pros and cons? I would prefer to avoid tags, especially if I get this particular job as I think they would not 'fit in' with character of the area.

Any comments welcome,

Kev
