Could some one give me a bit of advice, I've got a running problem with a 361 it won't tick over, I know it the carb because I swapped it with one from another saw and it worked fine.

I've cleaned and blown it out, replaced the diaphrams and gaskets, cleaned the inlet valve, cleaned the H L jets and removed a small brass screw in the top and cleaned. Still no joy, it's a Walbro carb, any help much appreciated. Thanks. :001_smile:

Should be flush with the carb body. If its too high it may be your problem. With the ruler accross it it should just touch it. Not move it.

Ok thanks ill shift it a bit, not sure how its moved, the carbs not been touched. Any chance the pump piston might have anything to do with it?

Not overly sure. Had a saw once that kept moving as soon as it wa sput back together. Changed it for a new one and it was all good.

Not sure about the accelerator pump on this saw either, this could cause an issue like the 200t one.

Possible - had a couple of MS200Ts I have had to convert over the last few days, both had a slight bogging in the early mid range, poor idle and didn't pickup without feathering the throttle.

The trouble is that many carb faults give the same sort of issues so are sometimes hard to pin down

A 'proper' clean will be 45 minute in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Then a blow out with some carb cleaner.

Then a rebuild using new diaphragms etc.

Then a 'pop' test and leakage test.

Only then can you be sure you have done your best, even then sometimes your best is not good enough and a new carb is required.

Welcome to my world.
