Hi,

I am new to the forum, been lurking for a while but thought I should best introduce myself. I am in the process of re-training to become a qualified arborist. Im looking for some advice on any books/publications that would help with my training/learning, and also anything that will be of use as a reference guide once actually out in the field.

I already have 'The Tree Climbers Companion' and a smaller, more concise version of BS3998.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Al

Start with the basics of tree biology, and build it slowly from there.

I would recommend

Trees: Their natural history - by Peter Thomas

.

Gets the vote from me too. A great introduction to tree biology/physiology etc...
