US Equipment Import

Stuby got it spot on it depends where in the US you buying it from what ya will get. Also remember octane levels in the states are different to here.

My saws are all US lol but I live there (well not at the mo lol) The specs on some are slightly different on some kit and they won't have the ce mark so you might find that some places over here if ya working commercially might have a hissy fit going on what I read bout the current rules here.

None of my saws have CE stickers on them as they have all worn or have been peeled off, in 20 years I have NEVER had any gear checked to see if they had CE stickers.

Who are these mystery checkers?

Or just walk in and buy it off the shelf:

Welcome To Madsen's Online A bud of mine recently came out of there with a PNW MS440 set up(large discharge clutch cover, high output oiler, large spikes, 3/4 wrap handlebar) for $780 tax included.

Did he call you a butt buddy? ;) You two get a room.

The US thing relies on a lot of factors. Personally, with a good chance that customs and the handler dinging you solidly, I would really only get a used saw from someone I know, in good condition. With a new saw, all your troubles could easily end in wasted time and no real dealer support. I work independently and do my own repairs, so I have a variety of choices. But if you own a company and lend the saws out to employees, you'll want some place to drop them off to as an option; preferably a place with good support.

If he called me a butt buddy my caulks would be connecting with his ass ......sole first lol

I agree with ya States is not comparable in any way lol:thumbup:

Well was just a guessing as the rules over here everything seems to get checked just assumed (wrongly) that that would get done to :001_tt2:

It's a good myth that certain people like to propagate.

I wouldn't bother importing saws from the USA as customs and other charges are so high now and also the exchange rate is terrible.

Not having a CE sticker wouldn't put me off.

££££ go further there than here

I'm not knocking this country I was born here and will eventually be planted here just the rules here are NUTS
