hi jon

you can either register it as an agric or as limited use both have free road tax & are mot exempt you can run on red for forestry & agric use

my hilux is on limited use & is tax & mot exempt & can legally be run on red

as for ALL the paper work filling in the taxation class on the log book & taking it in to your local dvla office really is a big chore!! (dont go to local office at start of month as there will be BIG queues)

have swapped the tax class on a few vehicles to limited use & never had a problem

swaping to agric you somtimes have to let vosa see what has been done to the truck to make it an agric machine for my landy that was agric registered i removed the rear tub & put a sprayer on the back! job done! the sprayer was on a quick mount / detach so i would normally run round with just a bare rear chassis! which was still legal as long as it was being used for agric use!
