sawn timber required

hi all,

i make skittles for a living and need some more timber.

can anyone supply me with sycamore and beech in squares or slab form from 4 1/2" and bigger.

air dried would be great but green is ok as long as the quality of the wood is good. i'd prefer the timber to come from slightly larger trees if possible.

any help is appreciated.

alec your inbox is full so here is the reply to your message

hi alec, im after whatever i can get realy. it's to be sticked and seasoned first, hopefully for a year to eighteen months before i think of using it.

i cant take too much in one go because i still live at home and must respect mums wishes but if it could be stored temporarily then i could take it in a few months.

how big is the tree???

i'll need 4 1/2" and 5" sections + 1/4" to allow for shrinkage. cutting patern doesnt matter as it's probably best if it's completely squared and sticked up to dry.

colour doesnt matter or sticker marks as i just require a sound bit of wood for a skittle...

im out all thursday but you can contact me on friday so if you wish to give me a call we can discuss options.

thanks

Steve
