What i should say, is if you are not completely confident in how you`ve understood the general license and can point out your reasoning for what you are doing if challenged, then its probably best to leave it and do the work later in the year.

 

do you think a feral pigeon nest in an urban garden could be considered a danger to health. I'm thinking droppings maybe.

I'm quite happy to comply with nesting codes but would like to have a get out of jail card should the need arise. This trying to get round things sounds terrible I know but if it were rats then there would be no objection raised. I'm wondering how bad it could possibly be to destroy the magpie nests. They are basically tree thugs. I do love birds but nature has a way of allowing the fittest to survive and maybe we need to redress the balance to encourage diversity.
