TP200 turntable - what to look for?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

My hunt for a good Iveco tipper has been interrupted by the appearance of a second hand 2005 TP200 turntable for £6k. Ivecos turn up every day but these don't so i want to grab it while i can. I'd love a new one but don't have £26k:sad:

I can tell if an engine is running right and i know what a noisy bearing sounds like and what an oil leak looks like, so if it chips ok i'm thinking it should be ok?

So for those familiar with this model (i've only used the 150 version), is there anything specific to look for?

Many thanks in advance,

Steve.

Thanks Pete, in accordance with my luck i phoned Osbournes this morning only to be told that they were in the process of removing it from their website as it had been sold.

I'm wondering if the part ex clearance TP760 might be worth a punt at £2.5k? At that money it would only have to work for a few weeks then onto Fleabay and it'd be cheaper than hiring. Given the state of the machines that CBL have given me recently it can't be much worse. Pity as i think that that 19-28 was quite a good machine until it joined their hire fleet - with that and their (lack of) customer service it's no wonder they're not your dealers anymore.....

Wanted to try the Quadchip the other week whilst my CS100 blades were being sharpened as i had a couple of hours work for one, but at £180 including the VAT for a day's hire i gave it a miss.

I like the look of the Quadchip as i really want a turntable, but i really want something a bit bigger. 8" seems about right but 10" machines are getting too heavy, hence why i'm looking at the TP200.

As the 200's don't come up very often i might just give this 760 a go - if it hasn't already been sold:angry:

Regards,

Steve.
