GO PRO helmet cam Advice

Hi guys,

 

I've recently purchased a go pro hero 3. Great bit of kit. Fantastic pics etc. But, because it is HD I am really struggling to get a program on my computer to be able to watch my vids. iTunes is the only one that can show it but even then it's very scratchy and a poor picture... any one know any software or program's that I should get in order to watch and edit my vids?? Ive heard Adobe premiere is good but really don't know..... Any help/ advice would be much appreciated. Cheers

Vlc media player it's free easy to use and pretty much plays anything

I to have just got one ,and ive tried afew, but the best one i found is wondershare and its free to try for a month and very easy to use:thumbup:

Windows or MAC? MAC comes with iMovie, Windows movie player?

It's a windows 7 computer. I've tried both movie player and Vlc, no luck with either, simply won't play the vids at all. Thanks

What resolution are you running the camera at?

 

If you have it set to 1280 or 4K then drop it right down, record something then try and play it back. If it plays OK at lower res then your computer might not be man enough for the high res edit/playback.

sounds like the computer isnt powerful enough! I had this problem, vidoes were unwatchable. I have recently upgraded to a new laptop and now i can play/edit with no drama. HD video demands a lot of processor and memory power. Also make sure you first move the files to your PC harddrive before attempting to play, this makes the job a lot easier on your PC's processor etc.
