Shoulder Operation

Hi, my first post but I will put my 2p in. When I was 3 or 4 I ran out into a road with a car coming and my mum grabbed my left arm to pull me from harm. Since my teens and maybe before I can dislocate my shoulder as and when I want with no pain. I done the doctor/specialist/MRI scan a few years back and they offered surgery or physio. I took the physio as time off work and a young family wouldn't work. It hurts a bit when I push it but apart from that no bother. I hope this helps.

depends on the degree of the operation, and how fit you are before it, my op was on my left shoulder and I was back doing work within a week, ( got a bollocking from the doc about that) had physio for 3 months, but still get twinges, 2 years later, but compared to the previous pain, its not much worse than a sore bang. Im now in my fifties and have just been informed that a knee problem will require keyhole, bring it on I say, a few days of pain leading to relief, I can suffer that

I'm still registered as a health care pro (radiography). I would wait for the radiologist report from the MRI they have the experience and have some knowledge of your medical history and build. Most interventional surgery has short term pain, key hole is generally a lot better. Perhaps, for now, relax and don't worry. There is a whole host of things which the internet says can go wrong (I mean with the rotator cuff as a whole) the advice you are seeking will be determined from the (very noisy) MRI scan.
