Bit more info on the guy, he had stihl bib and brace chainsaw trousers on, he was @ 5' 5" a 6" young lad early 20s with bum fluff moustache, thick wavey dark brown hair in a mullet and sat tall on the top of his head. He rang to come last week but made some cock and bull up about his grandad dying.

 

I understand the Police are not as bright as the ones over here so I shall make this suggestion. If the crook called you on your cell phone and you have not erased that number Go directly to the Police and talk to the detective or officer who met up with you. Give this number to the police and make a copy for your own records. make sure you have a case number and follow up as often as possible. If the Police check the number and the crooks phone is still on, there is no reason at all why you should not be able to recover your property or at least get the crook for passing counterfit funds.

Over here passing phony $$$ can get you in VERY BIG TROUBLE with the Secret Service. Good Hunting.

I would still forward the number to the police. Although your facts about phones not being registered there us always a chance the crook could make a mistake.
