the venue tom has suggested sounds like the best one so far but game for where ever it happens. am intrested in trying out the vt system but dont want to fork out money till aye try it out first so if any one using this system can they bring it along ? :001_smile:

i was going to suggest the hermitage at dunkeld. not so much for the tall tall douglas firs (though they are an option). As you head in to the forest the car park is straight ahead, if you turn right and head up the hill there is another car park. there are a few pretty big beech up there. not sure how the commission would feel about it though

Thanks to all who have said they will come so far, I think I pm'd everyone but if anyone else is interested please let me know. Just to confirm the dates are May 9-10 or if the weather is bad May 16-17, I'll keep you posted with any further developments.:001_smile:
