well, i am guessing that not many conventional neighbours would mind people having a wood mill set up in there front garden? or perhaps you felled the tree from the front and millled it in situ? or did you carry it from around the back?

 

c where i am coming from?

Our clients were very good they allowed us to dismantle and fell the stem on day one. We then returned to mill the remaining stem getting lots of really nice timber to make furniture after air drying for about 18 months. Sadly, we hit metal probably embedded barbed wire/nails in the lower stem which took two teeth off the circular blade, fortunately we have several spares.

 

Now acquired a small metal detector to scan stem base etc in future.

 

The tree stump has also been ground so job done.
