benches and green elm,,,

well been a busy week,:001_smile: dodging the rain, and trying my best to get orders finnished,,finnally finnished the ten benches for the local pub,(in credit for once) also recieved some stunning green elm from big J,,to add to my pile,,:thumbup1: and supplied the pub with 20 heart shaped t-light holders,,,

hi Big J, will stack the rest of your elm up next week, as ran out of time,

There was two days making the legs up for the benches,(done before xmas),with two of us, then two days putting them together, to include drawkniving the edges, sanding with a belt sander and angle grinder with a disc on for the edges to get smooth, then a day to oil them all,,,quite a task,,,we also managed two days of tree work,:thumbup1:

having not been drinking for the month has helped as it kept me motivated, and far more energy,,,any way off down the yard now,,want to finnish my yew wine racks,,,:thumbup1:

I,ve always been a fan of your work Clive! And having worked with you,seen you work and own a couple of Winson Woodcraft originals i have to say you are as enthusiastic about your craft as i am about mine...a right busy beaver:thumbup: lovely looking benches there...i pressume they,re for the Jolly fisherman? have to catch up soon...i,ll pop over in the Spring. have you been on the cider all ready mate,,,lol its the jolly farmer,,lol:lol:

would be good to catch up and christen the benches proper style,,,,

just been given some second hand oak flooring so going to go have a play on what I can think up to use it for,,,,,:thumbup1:
