Transit wheel bearing fail

My Y reg Transit tipper driver side front wheel bearing started making a noise and yes is on its way out. Do i have to remove the whole unit off the shock asorber, lower ball joint and track rod ball joint to get the bearing out. ( and no its not a taper bearing). Help and advise would be a great help. Thankyou

Nah mate just undo the 5 50 torx bolts with are through the centre of the bearing and lever the hub off, be carful of the disc once off it unbolted from the back hope this helps. Quite a simple job

Do i need to protect the disc or just get a big crow bar and pull/push till it falls on your foot

Whip the caliper out the way an the hub nut, undo 5 50 torx then lever sort of on back of disk between hub and disk no real need to protect it u will need a big bar tho :-). Once off half of the bearing may stay on the stub ( the bit you lever off) u may need to carefully nip through this bit with disk cutter and knock off with chisel hope this helps buddy

Wind a bolt with a nut in between disc and strut using caliper carrier bolt hole. Wind bolt through nut so it pushes on disc then knock off with hide hammer.

If it's really tight you can get a special puller for them or improvise with nuts and bolts as shooterjim said.
