Don't fancy a 880 or a 3120 as I like husky mate ;) up a tree on spikes !! No fun, plus I'm not in to logging !!! Get it down and away with a hiab for some one else to deal with, if I gotta use a saw to dice it up its usually when I'm climbing then weight is every thing.. Or maybe I'm not man enough or ever have been for a 120cc saw dicing up on spikes!

HI MATTY I DO not go up trees mate i will let you chaps do that im on the ground i will let you chaps go up the tree and it up you what saw you use thanks jon i can see your point jon

Happy new year to all. i'm sure this question has been asked many times and for this i am sorry, How ever seems to end up a battle of brands, i have always run jonsered / husky saws and my local dealer is top i don't very often buy a new saw, mainly older broken ones and like fixing rebuilding as much as using them. But looking to buy a 390 or a 395xp mainly to run a 28" and 36" bar to ring up trunks. over long term use between the two what are the pros and cons? and usability?

Many Thanks Shep

Happy new year to you bud . I have both . 390 on a 28" .375 . and 395 on 36" .404 . The 395 is " old school " but that don't make it bad . I love it . The 390 is more modern , like a big 372 . Both saws are capable but if you want to run a 36" bar I would go for the bigger of the two .
