At blinkin last.

Finally got to see the pesky little flat footed fly galls in the flesh on Ganoderma that I'd tantilisingly thought I'd seen before, only to realise that they were just anomalies of form.

had to sneek into Hamas favourite local to capture them though :sneaky2::blushing:

Oh yeah, some Ustulina & Gano playing footsy

& also some Enteridioms & Oak maze gill

I do like that bluebell / birch / ganoderma / moss image, for it's textures, colours and forms and for the atmospheric themes of death and rejuvenation...

Or if that sounds pretentious, I just think it's pretty.

Aint too shabby I suppose :sneaky2:

Yet to get over the fairway, maybe next time.

Flat foots obviously love the place due to the sheer biomass of layed down old Beech.

rare site for sure.

That wood has made me what I am today for sure, best and most influential classroom an arb could could ask for, still yet to find Crepidotus cinnabarinus though!

Going to have a treck up there myself today or tomorow, this bit of rain should turn a few interesting finds up:thumbup:
