Yep,

 

can find it on a wide variety of sub strata

 

wood chip, wood ant nests, the ground, dead trunks/branches etc....

 

usually found when its bright yellow.

From today...

 

Loads of Phellinus pomaceus on greengage (not included below - anyone interested?).

 

Polyporus squamosus upon Acer saccharinum. First time I have observed this association in the flesh.
