Lycogala epidendrum - wolfs milk. is a very common plasmodial slime mould, here on dead fallen poplar

 

second shot showing both the juvenile & mature forms & wormy type things having a graze on a ruptured globe, last shot.

 

aka tooth paste slime

The Amanitas?

 

we were with Andy recently looking at the Hericium at Hampstead I posted in the Fung hunter thread, but we didn't talk about these Amanitas (above) which are in Newmarket.

 

So must be different fungi
