Seen some the other day on an ash stump. One of the fellas took a nice looking one with the mind to clean it up a little, varnish it & create a gift for someone.

 

Interesting to see if it turns out nice.

do not rule out the potential for vomitted frogspawn, very common at this time of year as animals gorge on the freely avaliable resource to the point of glutony!

 

That was one thought I had. They both look similar.

Has anyone come across Kretzschmaria at height before?Until now I have only seen it on the lower stem but came across it at about 15M in a tight fork! no other signs of it anywhere else on the tree. Pics are poor quality I know.[ATTACH]120783[/ATTACH][ATTACH]120784[/ATTACH]
