Xylaria hypoxylon and an unknown yellow/orange squidge:biggrin: (both on dead Salix)

the unkown yellow squidge is one of the following two, T. aurantia or T T is for tremella. messenterica. to seperate one must look for spores or the mycelium that they each consume as fungal parasiters. aurantia consumes stereums, messenterica peniophoras:thumbup1:

care to take me to the place!

Mate, if you want to travel hundreds of miles to see them I would gladly show you. If you want to do some voluntary rhodi. bashing just for the good of the woods whilst there, great!

A bad job gone wrong, nightmare.

If you ever want to come to West Wales I have an old, slightly damp caravan that you are welcome to kip in.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
