no, definatley not, these are multiple brackets fused at a flatend rudementary stem point. very and i mean very tough leathery structure, light cigar brown on top.

 

This ones an oddity, but its its proper form for sure, came across it years ago before I was well into this, I think its an obscure find, but always been on ash.

yes its one and the same fungi, just two seperate sites.

Here are images of the same fruiting body at just over a week later....! They are a little underexposed Im afraid. I didnt want to adjust them for fear of losing all sense of reality vis a vis the coloured banding and such
