Help with Working Abroad

This is somewhat vague but so bare with me. My GF and myself have been discussing working abroad and/or travelling.

She works in the Conservation sector as a Ranger for the National Trust which is also my background but have been doing Arboriculture for the last couple of years and i'm currently working as an Arb Officer.

We have discussed working in the States but also Germany which are both very different i'm sure.

I've tried to find out information about both but haven't turned up much.

We were thinking of Travelling across the states but would like to do Conservation Jobs as we go to gain exp and cash as that's what we are both qualified to do, does anyone have any experience of this.

On the other hand we are looking to live in Germany as an alternative and get jobs out there in similar fields and so would like some advice as to how easy this is.

Overall i guess i'm looking for peoples experiences of doing both and how feasible they are?

Thanks in advance.
